To advance the education of the citizens of Britain and Irish people living in Britain about Ireland, it’s People, History, Language, Institutions, Culture, Music, Dance, Sport and Folklore and it’s Intellectual, Artistic and Economic life. In particular to meet the Social needs of the Irish people living in the City of Bristol and surrounding Areas.
To act as an umbrella organization for any Irish groups who wish to join with or be associated with the Bristol Irish Society.
The Society is a non-sectarian organisation and is non-political.

St Patrick’s Weekend Dance and Parade 2011 This year both the dance and parade were hugely successful and we hope to build on this success in future years. The Committee – We are always looking for volunteers to join the committee and to help us plan, organise and run events throughout the year. The 2010 AGM saw some changes to the committee with new members joining and taking on key roles. We hope these changes have injected some new enthusiasm and ideas into the society however we are always happy to receive ideas and suggestions from you.
Charity Donations - Following the St Patrick’s weekend celebrations this year we have decided to make charitable donations to St. Peter’s Hospice and the Children’s Hospice SW.
